Conversation with Stephen Dulaney about Podcasting

Stephen and I talked for about 50 minutes and I think we could gone for two hours easily.  We have much in common.  What was exciting to me was speaking with someone who has been blogging long enough to see the opportunities for better tools for authors.

In fact, Stephen has a company that has built a remarkable tool for Manila and RadioUserLand users.  It’s an authoring tool and is just the sort of thing I see as being very useful for people who would like to work offline in the richness of their traditional desktop tools THEN upload the finished artcle (with references) at the push of a button.  I’d just like to see this added to something like MoveableType.

Here is a little background about Stephen:

Stephen Dulaney, CEO, SocialDynamX

personal: http://radio.weblogs.com/0104704/

email: stephen.dulaney@socialdynamx.com

Stephen Dulaney leads SocialDynamX, a software development company specializing in experience architecture for social software.

SocialDynamX’s products integrate three pieces of software — a blog publishing tool, web browser, and news aggregator — into a single, easy-to-use, unified application. The next logical feature is a tool that makes podcasting as easy as personal web publishing. Because people have the pesky habit of being human and reluctant to change their behavior, we must make it easy to accomplish their goals — even if their goal is to unleash the social animal inside.
