It’s official – Enterpriseleadership.org has
launched. I’ve been so eager to talk about this but had to wait until
we officially released the site. For those wanting to know the CMS
side, this is a Plone-based site (Open Source CMS).
This site is all about getting conversations going on best practices amongst
CIOs and CTOs. The plan is to have one-on-one audio interviews (Podcasts)
each week that open up opportunities for sharing insights with others in
executive positions. One of the most challenging goals in any company
is the integration and achievement of some kind of harmony or alignment
between IT and business management – so you’ll be hearing a lot about that
topic one way or another.
I’m just thrilled to see this come to fruition. It’s been in the works for
months. We have two WONDERFUL interviews, one with Bill Vass, CIO of Sun, and Patricia Seybold, CEO of The Patricia Seybold Group and author of
customers.com. More podcasts are in the works.
Yep, that’s my voice on the interviews. We have an talented team of people
pulling this together: Kimberly Stone, project manager and head
webmaster; Dana Farver, principle editor; the Quintagroup who developed the
Plone site and provide on-going support; and our visionary leader, Mike
Smith, Web Strategy for BMC Software.
Here is the opening paragraph from the site:
Read, Listen, Collaborate: Our goal is to provide
high-quality, high-interest, and highly useful information you need to help
you succeed in the IT space today. So we have provided articles and
interviews with industry thought leaders and innovators; podcasts that you
can listen to at your computer or on your way home via iPod or MP3 player;
and blogs where you can ask questions and share ideas with other CIOs and
CXOs. Today’s IT occupies a big and complicated space; we hope that our
information and collaboration tools will make that space a little more
manageable and a lot more user-friendly.
This is an example of corporate Podcasting that’s aimed at education and
the sharing of ideas and experiences. I hope you find it useful. I’ve really
enjoyed the interviewing process and production of the Podcasts.
