If you want to see what real creativity looks like in the advertising
world, check out the lastest TV ad for the new Honda Civic. It’s also a video
podcast and there’s more: You get to see the British crew ’making
up’ the advertisement, which in many ways is an even more fascinating
process than the 2-minute ad.
This is truly innovative and I suspect you’ll be seeing this ad all
over the Internet and in emails with links coming from friends wanting you
to see it.
If you watch TV the way I do, you’d probably miss it because you use
your TiVo to swoosh through commercials as fast as possible. Or maybe you’re
like a lot of folks - you’ve just given up on traditional TV for
anything really useful. An understandable assumption. But if you do indulge
in a bit of mindless gracing of TV shows and ads, this is one ad you’ll
remember because you saw it on the Internet first.
