We think that's important. We want you to work directly with the person who optimizes your site, follow the process and have access to the same tools we use so there is no mystery to what's going on.
We give each client a free secure collaboration area at our Basecamp project management site so everyone on your team, regardless of their location, can particpate in the project. File sharing has never been easier. In addition, you will receive free search engine ranking reports for as long you believe it's needed.

This is typically a 30-day process, though it can stretch to 60-90 days depending on the web development cycle for your site. Payment is handled over a three-month period. We want to collaborate with you, the business owner, the webmaster, the copywriter and anyone else in your company that is involved with the success of the website. We understand it takes input from a variety of sources and are prepared to work as a member of your team. Our first meeting is all about understanding your product, your market position and business goals for the website. This is critical for us to guide you through to an end result that improves your business growth. We review the architecture of the site and specify what should be done to your current design to help facilitate higher rankings – up to 5 pages. Submit report on all pages and any broken links. Submit observations and recommendations early. Research competition in your market to determine best strategy for your positioning and keyword research. Provide you a report. Evaluate your current linking strategy and link popularity and provide a specific plan for improving inbound links with more link partners. This will be as critical as the keyword optimization work below. These tasks below are done in collaboration with your copywriter or webmaster to select primary keyword phrases for each page and improve keyword density in the page elements (for more explanation, please review the Search Engine Visibility Basics course online at http://4webresults.com/education): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPROVING KEYWORD DENSITY Of PRIMARY PAGES • Keyword research and recommendations for the home page and up to 4 key pages in the site. We'll aim for 5-10 primary keywords and research up to 50 keyword phrases with good traffic potential for use throughout the web copy on all pages. • Determine the best title tags for home page and up to 5 key pages in the site. • Select the best meta keywords for each page. • Create the meta description tags for home pages. • Show best locations to place keywords in ALT IMAGE tags. • Explain how to best utilize keyword-rich headlines and subheadlines using h1-h4 heading tags. • Work with your copywriter or webmaster to assist with proper use of keywords into copy and how to use keyword-rich link text (critical). • Develop a site map if needed for your site. IMPROVING LINK POPULARITY Depending on the need for this in a site, we'll establish a link popularity strategy that the client will implement. 4WebResults will provide a number of examples to accelerate the process. This will include a methodical, step-by-step, link exchange process to put in place. We will also providing specific recommendations for listing your website in directories on the Internet. We will list you in DMOZ - Open Directory and the free part of SuperPages. Other directories may require additional fees paid to the directory service. Budget up to $750 to cover the costs of getting listed in for-pay Internet directories. For example, the Yahoo Directory is $299. Other directories typically charge only about $40 each and we'll start with these. ---------------------------------------------------------------- We will review your web metrics/traffic reports for your site. If this is a new site, we will explain to you how to read and monitor the 4 critical elements to track. If you need a way to create reports, we'll provide them manually from your weblogs. This will help us with SEO and marketing-related strategies. Keyword ranking reports are provided to monitor progress of search engine visibility - provided for three months after completion of project. Submit your site to the major search engines: Google, MSN, Yahoo, HotBot, AOL, Iwon and Netscape, and 35 minor others. Provide specific marketing suggestions on implementing autoresponders, mailing lists, e-zines and other e-marketing tools to capture more prospects, and create more sales and profits from returning customers. Hourly rate for telephone consulting on search engine visibility and Internet marketing strategies is $250 per hour. We offer a reduced rate for additional hours. Any number of people can attend the call. I pay long-distance charges and will provide a free audio recording of consultation call if requested. This is often a good place to start with a client if they are not sure how to get started with search engines, pay-per-click and Internet marketing strategies.
