Google’s Blogger isn’t the first blogging service to
provide mobile blogging but hey, this is cool and very new.
Let’s face it, most people are still trying to fully grasp what blogging is
all about, so the concept of mobile blogging may take some time to seep into
our brains. Google has more marketing muscle to make the topic interesting
and fun and visible to greater numbers of people in the Internet. I can
imagine the cell phone vendors love this.

The point is, we’ve launched
Blogger Mobile. It’s nothing fancy, really. All you need
to do to use it is send an email or MMS from your phone to go@blogger.com -
and that’s it. We automatically create your blog, and whatever text or
photos (or both) you send in the message becomes your post. Continue
posting by sending more messages to go@blogger.com and congratulations: you
are a blogger.
Do visit here
for more details on Moblogging (mobile blogging). It’s helpful and gives
you great context for the purpose and usefulness of blogging while on the
go.
I’m curious – how might this work on Friday night after eating
dinner at a place with lousy service and food? Hmm, guess you could let
others know asap. Probably a more fun idea is to create digital postcards
for friends while you’re on the go or during a trip.
Now if only you could record your voice on the phone and send that too -
I’ll bet that’s next. But, wait; isn’t that called Podcasting? Or maybe we
should say ‘Mobcasting.’
Have fun
Tom
