Steve Gillmor's Gillmor Daily Podcast
One of the things I like most about RSS is that I can subscribe to exactly who/what I want. Steve Gillmor used to be ITConversations with the Gillmor Gang periodically. Now, he's got his own Podcast show on the Adam Curry Podshow.com network. He's on my iPodder RSS download list for sure.

Steve's on the leading edge of thought regarding Web 2.0 - in my opinion, and is carrying the thought-leader torch for RSS technology. Sure, I don't always agree with him, and he can be a little gruff and grumpy-sounding at times, but nevertheless he brings new ideas my way and always has a surprise up his sleeve. Love to meet him someday.
To me, his new show is EXACTLY what Podcasting is all about. One very informed person, speaking with other VERY informed people (in this case, the topics are Internet and IT-related technologies). It's like being invited over to his house and getting a chance to be 'a fly on the wall,' to hear conversations you normally would not be privvy to.
Steve looks for people who don't always agree with him, and during a conversation he pushes back on assumptions. As a result, the conversation will go deeper or at least become more lively.
If you're interested in learning more about new Internet technologies (especially RSS related topics right now) and people involved with Web 2.0 technologies, give his Podcast a listen.
His third one just plopped into my iPodder about an hour ago. Can't wait to listen.
As an aside I'm reminded of a recent article by Sean Carton " What Does RSS Mean for Advertisers" where Sean says
" The control aspect is probably what makes RSS so popular. If you look at the most successful consumer technologies over the past couple years: MP3 players such as the iPod; TiVo and other PVRs (define); VOD (define), all are about placing media control in users' hands and allowing them to experience what they want, when they want. There's been plenty written here recently about podcasting and PSPcasting. RSS fits into the consumer control trend that's sweeping the media world (and, to be technically correct, both those "casting" methods rely on RSS).
Steve really gets this and has a lot to say about this topic from a number of angles. He also has access to people at all the major companies (Google, Yahoo, MSN .... on and on ...). Listening to Steve's interviews is so much more gratifying then reading a blog article or a magazine article on the topic - because NOTHING appears to be edited out. I get a better read on what the issues are all about. Again, this is why I think his approach to Podcasting is so useful. Yes, I WOULD PAY or subscribe to his Podcasts if I had to. They are that important to me.
